Confession: I am a nail polish addict

Recently I have found myself completely addicted to nail polish. What's odd though, is that I never have been. In fact, pretty much every previous attempt to get into nail polish was a failure. Remember Hard Candy in the 90s? I remember spending my hard earned money on a bottle, only to completely fail at its application.

So then last year those Sally Hansen decals started to appear and I gave it a shot. And they were amazing. But the hold out frugal part of me knew that spending $10 on something that would only last a week was silly, when I could buy a whole bottle of nail polish for that price. So I started to buy polish and eventually I mastered the application... and now I am obsessed.

And I killed that hold out frugal part of me and pretty much bought enough polish for a lifetime.

But I digress. One of the brands that I quickly became obsessed with is Zoya. Their polish is beautiful and applies like a dream. And it contains no nasty chemicals. Best of all (for that frugal girl inside me that I often ignore) they have amazing promotions.

I've been able to get three bottles for free with shipping, making them around $2 each. For this quality, that is an amazing deal! And they do promotions like that fairly often.

Well now they launched a new "Share the Love" program. If you click my link to sign up, you will get a coupon for a free bottle of polish. If you add two more, then shipping is free. This is a referral link, so of course I will benefit if you make a purchase.

I'll begin by linking you to one of my favorite colors, Caitlin.

Victory Over Ticketmaster Fees

I buy a lot of concert tickets. Honestly, I would never want to see how much it has all cost me. But going to shows is important to me, so I plan my finances accordingly.

American Express offers cash back incentives through three main social media platforms: foursquare, twitter, and facebook. You link your card and then sign up for various offers. Last month they featured a deal for $50 back on a $100 Ticketmaster purchase. I bought a gift card since there were (shockingly) no tickets that I needed. It was $102.50 (See! Fees! Ugh!), and I got my $50 credit to my account within a few days. So I paid $52.50 for $100 in credit.

This morning I used my gift card for tickets to see Glen Hansard at the Beacon Theatre. It came to $97 after the insane fees, but I only paid $52.50. $3 is left on the card, so that could go to a small fraction of fees on another purchase.

Unfortunately, the deal is dead. But definitely keep an eye on the deals from American Express. I love that I don't have to remember to use a coupon. Once it is on your account, you just use your credit card like you normally would.
